I am currently researching growing and have come across a question... It may sound stupid but better to ask a stupid question than not ask a question at all so... My question is regarding CO2, I have seen burners used before but can I use a CO2 canister or a CO2 reactor to infuse CO2 into the water / nutrients I use to water the plants? I'm just curious because I am familiar with this method for fish tanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey Guy's I'm new here, have been checking the forums looking for a good Online Supplier for the hydro. Have been burnt by the Urban fuckin Gardner, don't like what I hear about Aussieponics. So who can supply the goods at a reasonable price? I see Glandore Hydroponics advertises on this Website, has anyone had troubles there. Or Newagehydro, they seem to have some good deals. Any help would great. Cheer's Filfy.

Afternoon everyone. I just wanted to share with you this seedling i started in my backyard about 3 weeks ago. Its an accidental cross of my last mother and its hermi-male (male with female flowers) brother. It is very small for 3 weeks old, but i havn't been tending to it at all and its been in some pretty hard soil. I've since moved it inside into the aerogarden. It seems to be flowering. Or are they pre-flowers? It's a bit strange considering it hasn't got alternating nodes yet. Also the purple pistils peeked my interest. It looks to have an infestation of mites. So i hit it with some mite-rid and put it to sleep. I'm really interested to see where this go…

Howdy folks I probably sound like a right newbie...( which is what I am ) I have a general question about flowering time. I turned my girls over to 12/12 on the 1st of december. They are two totally different plants..one tall and leggy..the other short and bushy as. (i broke all her arms while she was small, and just tipped the tall one to see the effect on both). The big leggy looks like they are coming along nicely... the short one is catching up now I managed to get it closer to the light. They're on an auto pot system.. both had identical feeding. Looks to me like one will be ready wayyyy before the other. What is the average flowering time for hydro? I know it…

I always assumed that rain water was more pure and better for plants. But I read somewhere that using town water from the tap is better than using untreated rain water for hydroponics. Their argument was that the chlorine and additives helped kill bacteria/germs that can harm the plants. And that rain water is missing certain natural minerals because its been evaporated (like distilled water). My tap water is around PH 7.7-8 and EC 300-400 My Rain water is PH 7 and EC 20 - 30

Hey guys and gals, been doing a lot of reading on the forum and ebooks but one thing has got me confused. What is the best system for growing medium to large plants? By what i have read it seems that the drip/flow recovery kind of set up is the way, am i right? most of those systems use rock-wool I don't like the idea of rock-wool due to its disposal factor and it cannot be reused. is there any benefit to using rock-wool over say expanded clay or gravel/perlite mix? So far my plan is to build a small table onto witch 2 nelly tubs will sit, below the table will sit the resivour both top nelly tubs will be connected together in between via a T connector and drain into the r…

has anyone ever used cyco flower? bloke at the hydro shop recommended it to me heavily and gave only vague instructions on how to use it. currently doing a re-circulating grow in coco and added 3 mls per litre of solution to the 40 ltr res. this is the vague instruction i was recommended and i stopped all other nutes (normally canna). the bottom leaves are yellowing slowly after 1 week - obviously showing nutrient deficiency. i'm in week 2 and added half strength canna nutes as well as part b cyco flower at 3 mls per litre. just wondering if anyone else has used it? probably wouldn't recommend it so far, i see no difference with the plants unlike pk-13 stuff

alright fellows here it goes. I have two rooms, a 4'x4'x5'tall for veg & a 4'x5x5'tall for flower veg lights are 2 T8s and 2 T5s with 4 2' bulbs ea flower lights are 1 400w hps 1 T8 and 2 2' floros for extra spectrum. the veg will be two moms with two cloners of 15 each, the questions i have are this for the flowers-1) bubbleponic perpetual harvest 8 plants every 2 weeks or SOG with a fill and drain system in a 3'x4' bed of hydroton? 2)if i go the drain n fill route how often do i water for how long, seems to be a missed piece of info in all the posts and books i have read.. i know it is strain dependent, i am going to start with the best bag seed i have gathered t…

Hi all. I am a former "florist" and thought I would share a few thoughts regarding minimising the risks associated with the disposal of waste products (sticks, leaf, root clusters, plastic bottles etc) at the end of each crop. I now drive for a living, often in semi-rural areas, and I regularly see things which have led me to put finger to keyboard. There are basically three ways of getting rid of your waste: put it in your wheelie bin, take it to the tip or go for a drive and dump it somewhere. Option number 1 is fraught with multiple risks. Don't do it. Number 2, the tip, is a better option, although I don't recommend it. The close proximity of other people makes it a…

While I was doing a bit of research for my grow I thought I'd visit the Canna site to see if there was any more info on their nutes. I stumbled across this nutrient calculator/custom scheduler and found it pretty useful. So for those of you running Canna products here you go canna.com
