More than 140 police were involved in the raids on 30 Adelaide residential and business premises, that started at 7.30am (CST) today. The Government’s Criminal Code (Serious Drugs Offences) Amendment Bill 2004 although aimed at drug traffickers and serious drug offences, widens the net and imposes draconian penalties on young people experimenting in or addicted to drugs. Families and Friends for Drug Law Reform calls for the Bill to be withdrawn for reconsideration. “The Bill is not just confined to serious drug offences,” said Brian McConnell, President of Families and Friends for Drug Law Reform, “Events that in plain language would not be regarded as ‘serious crimes’ will be labeled as such with severe penalties” “For example a teenager at a dance party who resells to a friend a single ecstasy t…

Question for more of the "geeky" growers out there. Has anyone thought of actually setting up monitoring of your grow via a website? I've been thinking recently about the grow setup I want and how I could simplify checking gauges etc. I know there are thermometor devices out there with an SNMP interface that you can grab data from, anyone heard about SNMP pollable EC meters or nutrient tanks that can be purchased? When I start my grow I'm planning on hooking up a couple of cheapo webcams in the room to "watch" over my grow, security really wouldn't be an issue as you can easily password protect the website, and the chances a LEO would stumble across a dynamic-dns we…

A Kinder Surprise toy egg may retail for a couple of dollars, but when adapted for an illicit purpose, the plastic novelties can sell for up to $1000, the High Court at Palmerston North was told yesterday. Detective Sergeant Sean Hansen, a former undercover drug officer and current organised crime unit detective, said the Kinder Surprise eggs were popular with drug manufacturers, who used them to store and sell cannabis or cannabis oil. A "cannabis surprise" egg usually ranged in price from $500 to $600, but could fetch a price as high as $1000, he said. Mr Hansen was giving evidence in the trial of Jason Andre Hikaka, who faces drug-related charges including, pr…

Myself and Ozstoner have racked our brains over an issue we have with spamming here, we have been trying to find a solution that is benifitial for you guys and doesn't effect your business but also doesn't take away from the true purpose of the forms which is ofcourse for advice, views and comments ect ... not free advertising . We want to keep this place banner free and with that said what we have come up with is a system where all seedbanks, breeders, and store owners who wish to advertise their sites and services here must register and pay a donation. In return for their donation they will be given a sticky thread in the seedbank section where they can advertise what…

Marijuana Party president Marc Emery has been sentenced to three months in jail in Saskatchewan for drug trafficking. Emery had pleaded guilty to passing one marijuana joint to someone else in a downtown Saskatoon park back in March. He has 10 previous marijuana-related offences on his record. Many are for trafficking in connection with his marijuana seed business. But in the past, Emery has only be fined. Provincial Court Judge Albert Lavoie said he is sending Emery to jail to send a message. The judge said Emery's crime was clearly a political act – but said Emery had flaunted the law, and there was a need for a stronger deterrent. Emery's lawyer, Lianne Johnson, sa…

There is no scientific proof that cannabis use induces schizophrenia, Dutch scientists say, questioning recent research and an argument the Dutch government uses to crack down on marijuana-selling "coffee shops." In an article in this week's Magazine for Psychiatry, a peer-reviewed journal, the three authors say that on the basis of currently available data "there is no justification for the proposed closure of coffee shops." Often the first symptoms of schizophrenia occur during adolescence, when people start to experiment with drugs, but the scientists believe cannabis use only has a negative effect on people already genetically predisposed to the mental illness. …

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
