22/04/09 http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/artic..._zoLR0g?index=0 Copyright © 2009 AFP KABUL (AFP) — Dishevelled and blind in one eye, the 57-year-old hashish dealer has no fear that police might try to stop the trade he conducts from a petrol station on the edge of the dirty Kabul River. "If you give them 100 afghani (two dollars) and a joint, they would say carry on," said the man who gives his name as Mahtaabudin. "I am not afraid of anyone," he said gruffly, only agreeing to talk after he has lit a cigarette of heady hashish made from cannabis resin which he shares with some of his customers on the station's verandah. He admits to some precautions, s…

April 14, 2009 http://www.canada.com/Officer+lost+wallet+...3695/story.html © Copyright © Canwest News Service When Burnaby RCMP Const. Amyn Dharamshi lost his wallet, he probably thought things couldn't get much worse. But that was before someone found it and dropped it in a mailbox -- and before Canada Post security handed it over to the Vancouver police. When police opened the wallet, they found, in addition to his ID, a baggie containing 6.1 grams of marijuana and a package of Zig Zag rolling papers. Dharamshi denied the marijuana was his, saying it belonged to his brother, Karim, who had borrowed his wallet for a few days. However, moments after taking a li…

More Propaganda in 2009 1 2

By chance I stumbled upon this research paper and was wondering how we could counter-attack it! It's very in depth and well referenced but it talks about all the usual stuff to scare parents and teenagers. The aim of the report is to encourage the Government to increase awareness of the dangers of cannabis use and introduce campaigns similar to the 'bloody idiot' anti alcohol campaign. It was also written in March this year. Here is the link: http://www.drugfree.org.au/fileadmin/Media...nnabisPaper.pdf Maybe we could write up a research paper ourselves in response to this?

Hi, My name is Louis and Im an American that moved out here to Sydney a couple of years ago. Compared to back home, I feel like Australia (even Sydney and NSW where I live) have pretty reasonable cannabis law. Let me scratch that, the law is still pretty invasive, but it seems that enforcement for the average citizen is pretty lax. I mean, you can barely walk around without the sweet smell of a joint hitting your noise as it leaks from someone's house. However, it is still necessary that we look to make real progress with this issue. Ive wondered for years how the hell there hasnt been any progress on the medicinal front here even though there was a "commission" assigned …

Pollie bothering is working
by littlbit- 2 replies

Has anyone paid attention, to some things that are happening, that shows our pollie bothering is working. We now have Harm minumisation drug ads. Now we have cannabis NOT marijuana. There has been no mention of WAR on anything for weeks. Nicola Roxon (dictator) has been on the news, not pushing alco pop tax, but health issues, trying to look like she cares. Now I know these are small things, however they are a step in the right direction, and they tell us they have a drugs council going on now, and will announce the outcome soon. So everyone keep up the good work, don't forget the media and the opposition too. P.S. You should see the pathetic argument we just rec…

I've been looking all over but have been unable to find liable information regarding my questions, which is why I ask here in hope that perhaps, someone here may possess the answer or perhaps, where to find the information. I know that the laws are different from state to state, so i shall say that i live in Tasmania. Is it illegal to purchase seeds online? ( the origin behind this question is me hearing numerous things such as, it only becomes illegal when seeds are planted, it only becomes illegal when buds start to form and so on) If the package were to be intercepted and the contents found, will i be facing prosecution ? and lastly If the contents of the pac…

http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2009...erican-prisons/ –Bernd Debusmann is a Reuters columnist. The opinions expressed are his own– Are the 305 million people living in the United States the most evil in the world? Is this the reason why the U.S., with 5 percent of the world's population, has 25 percent of the world's prisoners and an incarceration rate five times as high as the rest of the world? Or is it a matter of a criminal justice system that has gone dramatically wrong, swamping the prison system with drug offenders? That rhetorical question, asked on the floor of the U.S. Senate by Virginia Senator Jim Webb, fits into what looks like an accelerating sh…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
