rock wool and lighting?

Hey Oz Stoners

Ive just germinated 4 seeds and have sowed them in cubes of R.W and have had them sitting about 5ml from a 40w fluro for the past 3 nights now [18hrs]. None have broken the surface yet. [cubes watered once when fisrt sowed]

Considering it took a day to germ, there process hass just seemed to halt compared to growing in soil with sun.

Are they establishing good roots, am i doing somthing wrong or is this normal?

 

And just quickly does an overcast day produce better lumens than a 40w fluro?

its not the best time of year to germinate, in or out, they might take a little longer, 24hr light wouldnt hurt, make sure there not to cold,

put a home brew or clone heater under the cubes, then they will rocket off.

cheers guys im gona bolt to h shop as yeah it would be heat cause the ive only got a 4ft fluro hard to box or fit any were stealthy thats half warm thats if the pads arent to expensive
