seedling box on the cheap

Recommended Posts

good idea with the glass to keep them warm, but it could probably do with some improving as it gets to like 5 degrees of a night now and the sides of that grow area are still fully esposed to the elements...if you could get another bit of glass for each end, that would be ideal or if you dont have glass, a few sticks and cling wrap will do the trick :baaasmiley:

do you know what strain/s your growing? at the very least they are looking nice and healthy so i hope they produce buckets of potent smoko for ya :smoke

as for sexing early, take a cutting and root it under 12/12, it'll show sex in like 2 weeks or you can just wait untill preflowers are showing and rip out the males one by one...

you probably should have bought the fluros from a lighting place instead of the hydro shop, they charge 2-3 times more than a normal lighting place and woolies is the cheapest place of them all :(

If I don't have males to worry about life will be a lot easier.

well theres a lesson learnt, start from cuttings next time ;)

edit: your plants look very nice and healthy :) i think the once in the black pot might be a little off on the pH though, it doesnt look too severe by any means and the plant will still grow, but whats the pH of the water your giving them?

I did not know you could buy grow lights from woolies, but I have never grown indoors so I know stuff all about it. Thanks for the tip though.

I havn't tested the ph its just something I havn't bothered to do growing in the bush. I use rainwater out of poly tanks, I'll have to test it.

Should I use rockwool for my cuttings? I have some cutting gel(purple) is it the go?

Cheers and thanks again for the tips. :thumbsup
