tanning lamp

Recommended Posts

hey all, i have this tanning lamp that i use for screen printing, i was just wondering if it could be used in a small cupboard growing setup???

the model is "sanolux" and is manufactured my Radium...

-300 watt

-lifetime 1000 hours

-UVA Radiation power (315-400 nm) in W is 5,1

-UVB Radiation power in W is 2,2

this light only cost $80AU new, and doesn't require any extra controlling gear, all you need is a screw in light bulb holder with lead, and it hardly takes up any space!

all advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys

Most of the energy produced from this light, is not within the optimum wavelegth parameters required for efficient plant growth, I'm afraid.

But, what the heck; do the experiment, and see how retarded plants become, when faced with nothing but this light. I'd be interested to know.
