The poor South Sydney Rabbitohs have been through hell and back to get where they are.

 

Are we as a nation now going to say that Russell Crowe, a prat admittedly, but an Aussie prat, an aussie south sydney supporting prat who made money off the yanks can't sponsor the team he has been a supporter of for many years?

btw, who cares where the rabbitoes get their money, most, if not all of the other teams are corporately sponsored, which in large part is an international business now. So you couldn't really say that just by Russel Crow would be breaking any conventions....

I dont see a problem with southsydney being sposered by a film

 

Would you rather we revert back to say winfield logos sprayed across fields and uniforms ??

 

Money has to come from somewhere.I see no difference between say coca cola sponsering a team and the film industry sorry 1 film .

 

Besides ,i thought they were only going to advertise the film on the football guernsey's for about 8 or 9 weeks not the whole season.
