I am only new to growing myself, the best thing I think you can do is get yourself a copy of an indoor growing book.

i have a copy of Integral Hydroponics by G Low edition 3. About $30 from a hydro shop, start with that and go from there.

I think a few years ago I used to go by 1c per hour for a 400w globe

Probably still a reasonable rule of thumb

12 hours a day x 7 days a week = $84

$84 x 3 months = $252 per quarter

So each electricity bill your plants cost you $252

 

It's not much, but it depends on how much you spend on smoko

 

I also reckon a foot may be a bit big to put them into flower

You don't need to let them get that big indoors

Otherwise your plants turn leggy

 

Indoors, I reckon the most important thing is good light

Your growing medium and PH etc can be optimum

But if the light ain't there to support it, forget it

 

A good 400w HPS for flowering will pay for itself over and over again

And then it's just a matter of getting your nutrient levels correct

Keep it simple first up - good light and good nutrient

And soon you'll be chuffin' better shit than you've ever scored
