i think they added the extra zero there, not sure if the reporters or the police/gov valued 18 ounces to 50k, i've seen the old 2-3 times there amount in news reports, 10 times the amount is pushing it....

just imagine with new legislation this is only a 1k fine as you didnt pay your licence fees for going over the 10 flowering plant limit
