Question about hour timings when switching over to flower cycle.

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what the general consensus is when it comes to setting the on and off times when you flower your girls? Obviously going to a 12/12 cycle but does it matter what time of the day you set your on and/or off time in relation to your veg cycle timing?

They are currently coming on at 4pm and off at 10am. Is it more important to still go off at 10, or still come on at 4, or does it not matter at all as the plants will work it out after a couple of days?

+ 1 for the comments above

generally most keep the on time & adjust the off time when changing from veg to flower cycle

but that's not a hard & fast rule , most do that so they only have to change one setting on there

light timer & not both on & off settings

only possible down side to running a dark period during daylight hours is light leaks

have you checked for any light leaks in your space ?

Yeah I ended up keeping the off time the same so gonna run dark 10am to 10pm. We arent far from the mountains and its already getting really cold here at night so I need all the help I can get keeping them warm. And they are in a tent inside a very large room so light isnt an issue, only problem is going to be its also my smoking room so Ill be choofing under a small reading lamp for a while lol!
