Keeping dwc water cool .

I use the 2 x 2L milk containers from the freezer. I only feed 2 times a day (recirc) so when I can remember I put them in the tub 1hr beforehand. But.. I often forget.

Yeah mate. I was changing out 2 x 2litre bottles of frozen water every couple of hours, and still not getting it low enough to be safe from root rot.

 

1 plant grew well, and one didn't. It was an experiment while I had a few extra days off work. The same plants are in coco now and are doing really well.

My roots run hot all the time 26 min. But by running a very airy medium and continually exchanging the air in the root zone (via air pump) I dodge disease and the plants stay happy.

Oh yeah. I had a commercial pump going in the tub, was bubbly as buggers. Although I did notice only half the airstones were good.

 

But no had trouble keeping it under 26, kept it at mostly 22-24, turnover night it climbed.. And it is hotter now. Changing ice blocks every couple of hours was annoying. I regret not spending the 1k to aircon that room as well. Maybe next tax time.

Yeah mlg, that is a better idea. My 50l container had 30-40 litres of water in it, and the plants were in the lid. So it all was in the tent. No remote res.
