Is tucking a thing?

 

Topped on Monday and then tucked the new growth under the fan leaves to give new growth light and hopefully encourage growth in the new nodes coming out. Total area still collecting same light. 

 

LSD and Liberty Haze from Seedsman.

 

Also have Kush and Cookies for CBD and Jack Herer as freebie.

Not sure but I would remove those lower fan leaves and thin out the whole lot except for the tops and new grow then watch it explode with new growth right where you want it. Just use your finger thumbnail to pinch off most of those large fans.

plenty of time to defol when they are much bigger.

 

don't 4get, the fan leaves are the solar panels for the plant.

I’m likely going to top all the growth branches next Monday, maybe a week after that will thin out underneath like you say and watch how it responds. Then another week to stabilise then flip 12/12.

The new growth coming out above each fan leave due to topping it was tucked over the fan leaf above it. This morning they were long enough to get light without having to move fan leaf above so have put them back to how they were.

Every-time ya fuck with them they slow down, only ever tip me outside shit once if at all, inside its much better to bend the top over, and get more tops that way

cuttings or regens just spread them out, they are normally branchy fuckers 

 

got me fucked were all this defoliation shit came from, not from decent growers that's for sure, must be the google growing way

There's a difference between defol n cultivation

You're right ,lots happening without knowing how why or when

Just ask my matebob how important it is to have this knowledge n skill to do it

He's showing that even with autos the correct approach to trimming can boost your yields substantially

Only tipping once ,I have no problem getting maximum branches

Correct trimming during flower can also help with the production of more trichs, thicker buds,less chance of mould n of course more yield of quality, less smaller buds

Me big Thai never got topped just bent over a bit, was enough to stop a lot of upward momentum and push the sides right out

the old top is somewhere on the left of the pic, nowhere near the top
