Help! About to lose my tree

Recommended Posts

See photo's attached. Outdoor grow Queensland.

Hi all. I need urgent help please, as I'm about to lose my big tree. The leaves and even the flowers now are turning yellow, brown and dying. HOWEVER, my small tree next to it, is doing fine and every time I applied Power Feed or Big Bud to my big tree, I also applied to my small tree. (Small tree was in a pot for a long time and only recently transferred to ground).

I'm in QLD and have had rain almost everyday lately. Prior to this during the growth stage, I was applying "Power Feed for Tomatos and Vegetables". I think I can remember it going slightly yellow around this time?
Then after it started budding, I stopped applying the Power Feed and I put on 1 application of "Xtreme Nutrients Queensland Big Bud".

Then the rain came and branches started snapping off. I haven't applied either Power Feed or Big Bud since the 1 and only application of Big Bud.

Branches were snapping where they meet the trunk and either halfway or 3/4 way through. I think they didn't completely snap because they hit the ground and were supported.

So I managed to lift the branches back into position against the trunk and tie them into place, hoping they would heal.

3 branches snapped after the first heavy rain, I tied them up. Then a few days later, more heavy rain and 2 more snapped branches, which I also tied up.

Now it's not like the buds were massive and soaking up so much water and weighing the branch down, they were only small and not much weight behind them, so I really don't know what is happening.
All I know, is if I don't sort it soon, this big ass tree is gone :(

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Its got stem rot. Trace the dyeing bits back to the main stem and there will be mould on it. Just like these. That's a Northern lights. Cut all the dyeing bits off and spray the main stem with a fungicide every day for a week and you should be able to save the remainder of the plant. The spray every 3rd day till you pull it. post-63201-155436576716_thumb.jpegpost-63201-155436578742_thumb.jpeg

If I cut the dying bits off, there'll be nothing left! The majority of branches have snapped, I'm assuming if stem rot is the issue, all of the branches that have stepped are going to turn out like the two that are dying now.

Any recommendations on what type/brand of fungicide and where do I get it? Sorry, new to this.

That looks like hemp lol

you need to support all of those branches soon, me thinks.

The snapped ones look pretty rooted, consider chopping those bits rather than trying to save them.

Next time, consider strains with a stockier build or building some support for them.

Not sure about nutrient advice, someone else should chime in soon.

Hemp? My last plant looked like this and gave 2.66 pounds of big fat buds. Totally organic, nothing but chicken poo, sun, & water.

Thanks for the reply bro. I don't think it is stem rot. Only the branches that snapped have the dying leaves and flowers on it, the rest are fine. Plus there is a small plant next to it that is thriving. I cut the dying bits of the dead branches, going to leave it without spraying it with the fungicide I bought (same bottle as you suggested) and see how it goes for a while.

Could constant rain and wet soil cause the branches to snap? We had rain everyday for quite a while. Wondering if it could be the wet conditions that caused branches to snap and although I tried to tie them back up so the snapped branch was face to face with the main trunk, it didn't heal properly and started dying. Other branches that have snapped and I managed to get a real good bond back onto the main trunk, seemed to have healed and doing well.
