Volume Versus Weight

Hi everyone,

 

Couple of weeks to go for my first indoor grow and everything's looking good.

 

Just wondering about how much to roughly expect to be able to fit into a jar with 500ml capacity, leaving room for sufficient air to correctly cure the product. I'll be purchasing the jars later this week and don't want to end up with too few or too many (although I already plan on buying a couple more than estimated just in case I get lucky and need them).

Hard to say really. I fill mine to about 80% volume. Is that what you're asking? Old coffee jars are useful for curing.

too many variables... are your buds big or small?

 

larger buds will weigh less in the same jar as small buds (can get more small buds into that same jar).

I can get an ounce into a 500ml 'canning jar' - that is using a mix of large and small buds to fill that jar, I don't pack the jar at all.
