Your strain i would say is an australian evolutionary naturally mutated version of a native...

 

Check out naturally occurring plant mutations ( google it)

 

As far as chochline is concern may have helped mutate tho since i studied horticulture i beleive that since there are certain types of words such as endemic/native ect. Ect. You can assume that over time as with cannabis breeders that certain strains are grown and acclimatised to certain altitudes and topography... some plants do well in some areas and some don't...

 

If you look at the native gumtree... it was planted out in th USA and was spreading like a weed... oily plant too... they had a massive fire...

 

Your a lucky man Mongy... holding the mongy strain...

 

Takes time for mutations like that to occur...

 

If you do a search for strain hunters expiditions you'll eventually see them come across a strain of cannabis that has a flat stem... not the stem we are all used too...
