Best LED light for cupboard

Hey guys im pretty new to this, im starting a cupboard grow and was wondering the best LED lighting for both veg and flower. The cupboard is pretty standard 1m x 0.5 x 1.5, im planning on using a 4" exhaust fan with carbon filter but im trying to work out the best wattage for 4 plants in the small space.

I was thinking of going down the same track, do you think i should go to three then? We have similar size grows so if two isnt cutting it i will go three aswell

I'm no expert. Just going by feel.

Seems as though 3 will more evenly spread the light for this space.

And 390 (true) watts should produce a reasonable yeild.

 

Though having said that,

I plan to get a 600w hps and use it for flowering. (Along with the LEDs)

I have 2 for veg then a 400hps for flower. I suggest you look at the colour spectrum for what is needed for both veg and flower as it’s different. For flower you need more yellow and red which the viparspectra does not have. In saying that, I’ve had good grows using them all the way through but I think with the hps the bids are noticeably denser/heavier.

 

Check out this link when deciding on coverage of that exact light. Of course, LED is cooler so that’s one big advantage in such a small space.

You could run two mars 400's in that area mine puts off around 400-500 BTU's i highly recommend the mar's II lights a friend pulled up a ripper harvest under two mars II 700's and now has 2x 4.5-5 footers under same light which are huge! trying to get pics for OSA i think the major success key of my mate is he defoliates a lot probably twice a week i think it does something chemically within the plants immune system and the plants absolutely thrive on it, it is something i don't personally do and i am yet to achieve hes results he is kicking my ass

I was lookin at LEDs ...marshydro or viparspectra are prob the go for a beginner they're cheap but they grow buds

Led are only efficient because they are bright however 150watts or Led is still a 150watts of heat if u run 400watts of true power from the wall it puts off the same BTU's as a 400 HPS it is energy being burnt off creating heat... the way LED's work is u don't need to match 400w HPS to 400w LED with good reflection in a tent about 250w of Led will be about as good as 400w HPS but u need tp up your game with Led's it can turn out ok,good, or marvelous where as HPS u can bang anything out and it will turn out better than Led

Sorry but no you can't just bang anything out with a hps and it be better than led if anything a hps setup is more complicated and more prone to problems than an led

I think the reason they are more efficient is because the frequency of light coming out of LEDs is fine tuned to be within the usable spectrum whereas hps lights produce a lot of light that a plant just can't use
