Personally, I would probabaly let it go a bit longer as I like long stems on my clones, but you could clone it without to much of an issue. It is pretty similar to cloning a tomato, so if you've cloned tomato's before, you should be able to clone canna, it is just plant.

 

I am not sure on your reasoning for wanting to take cuts though, as I thought you said you were going to have to abandon the grow?

Yes but if I take clones I can store them at a mates.

What sort of clone setup are you using?

Just a humidity dome. Soil. And a CFL.

 

 

Old roommate of mine did this a while back and got good results.

 

Just takes alot longer
