he took out a real big loan as a wanna-be money maker to cook a shit tonne of meth

he couldnt pay the debt to the club after he got busted

If ya go do a search, sounds more like a domestic than drug related. Seems she got the shits, involved others, they went round and dusted him up with a bat and knife. As a result he wound up dead and they tried to cover it all up in a pretty gruesome manner. The court papers won't tell the WHOLE story, obviously, but it sounds like they got what was coming.

Not sure about the relation to drugs but again 'court papers won't tell the WHOLE story'
