Magic Butter

Been looking at purchasing a Magic Butter machine, if anyone on here has one do you think it's worth it or not I don't want to shell out $250 for nothing

What's wrong with using the oven? Saves spending extra coin on that plus at a guess another $100 for a transformer

for me , smell & wanting temp consistency 

the boiling water method fixes smells but still consistent temps is a hard one 

 

i just want it to be the same each time which i think is important if producing a medicine for yourself or someone else 

of cause you can use oven & monitor temps but life gets in the way sometimes & a set & forget can be handy

Makes plenty enough sense for me itchy but surely something on local market would be capable of doing the same thing saves running a transformer too

absolutely just a matter of finding a local solution 

if we're lucky in 5 years time we'll have ozzy canna inventions up the jacksie to play with

Induction benchtops cooker will sit at 120 degrees still not sure how you could contain the smell though

if sealed & under the water you get no smell & attempt to seal in some terps & remove the baked smell from decarbing in an oven 

 

i've done it with glad wrap in boiling water , rolled up & tied , stayed dry , they do it in cooking for poaching or something like that 

 

i'll have a look at that philips , cheers mate

They're only $149 at hardly normal so should be able to get it for half that elsewhere. So what if you put the herb and the butter in a vacuum sealed bag without vacuuming it air tight then putting it in pot of water on the cooktop

my very basic understanding with glycerin is 

82c melts cannabis trichome heads into the glycerin , i would think that temp would be the same for butter 

 

the prob with glycerin is it saturates at about 33% , in a heated method you need to run the same material 3 times with fresh

glycerin each time , the good thing about glycerin is it's water soluble & for some & kids , if need be , alcohol

is a lill harsh under the tongue , glycerin solves that prob if it is a prob in the first place

 

plus you know eating it gets you higher , THC turns into or the body creates in the presence of THC , 11 hydroxy THC

allot stronger than THC & able to pass the blood brain barrier , more 11 hydroxy created via oral vs smoking

That's interesting I'm gonna have to what I can use glycerine in now. I made vanilla Pana Cotta with raspberry coulis infused with milk I made up that made for a fun Sunday arvo misses got home about 4 hrs after I had it and I was just staring blankly at the tv waiting for the movie to start even though I had paused it some how
