Hey guys just got give a big pack of these seeds and was wondering who else has grown it, from what I gather it is to be treated pretty much the same as the morning glories as they are very closy related but

 

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for germinatuon ( do the seeds need nicking ect ) and any growth tips for these little babies, or should I just follow morning glory guidlines

The seeds of Rivea corymobosa are used similarly to HBWR (Argyreia nervosa) and the Morning Glories. I personally would assume that a nick to the side of the seed could do no harm when trying to germinate. Now is a good time to germinate, with the season warming up.

Cool thanx for the reply , yeah I am generaly not a person who nicks seeds if I can avoid it but I have nicked these and have put them in some seedling mix I made up , they are in my little seedling hut with 24 hour fluro's , I will take it back to about 19/5 when they have sprouted

 

 

do you sugest a certain medium make up or tpe for these ?

I'd simply use a premium potting mix. Until it was found that that didn't work, I wouldn't bother getting too elaborate.

 

 

I've never found any of its relatives fussy.

I haven't tried growing these yet, I heard they were pretty tricky to cultivate in victoria.

 

The seeds are nice though alot nicer than HBWR, I didn't get any unwanted side effects with my experimenting.
