Do pollinated plants finish early?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows if....

When a female plant is pollinated, either by itself from stress or some rouge pollen, does this cause the plant to finish earlier? How much earlier?

Got a Feminized Blueberry Headband from Emerald Triangle Seeds that is at day 51 and is ripening very fast. There has been around 5 - 10 beans spotted/felt, cannot seem to find anymore, but there are not really and new white hairs showing from the new calyx's.

She is very frosty and looks ready, under the loupe trichs are 50/50 clear/cloudy.... Do ya's think she will be full of little un-matured seeds?

Ive ask a couple of people and have had mixed response.

Cheers and have a great weekend!! :D

Once its been Pollinated the plant puts all its effort into the seeds as the job is done and the cycle is finished so yes many strains do finish earlier if pollinated . But if its just a few seeds here and there then it's just those buds effected not the whole plant..( may effect it buy a few days to a week maybe)

Touching squeezing a bud with effect it to and the white hairs with die off and make it look like its finishing when really its damage.

Are you sure its seeds, did you see any male flowers Bananas at all ,was their a male near it, or are you presuming the big swollen Calyx have seeds in them ,have any Calyx opened an shown a seed ??

Hey Traviss. Cheers for the reply.

Im not 100% sure its the seeds, she did have 4 clones taken off her from the lower branches at about wk 5 of veg, then she vegged another 3 weeks before flipping to 12/12.

Did not catch any male flowers at all, Im usually pretty on to looking closley, but she is a bushy girl and my eye may have slipped past... No males at all close by and yes some of the calyx have split revealing a few seeds... maybe 4 branches are effected.. >:(

Another mate mentioned he had some weird growth on a freebie of the same strain in the past, but another 2 mates have not had the problem... so its sorta 50/50... there was one day the small tent went over 27 degress for a few hours, other than that she is steady around 24 degrees lights on 19 degrees lights off, no light leaks, no nothin!

Using H&G nutes, doing the same same have always been doing  :unknw:
