I found this article while working that could have a use in the cannabis field for flushing out high nutrient levels.

\while testing with native species v invasive weeds in open woodland test plots were set up and sugar was sprinkled over pegged out area's and reduced over time the high levels of available nutrients which were feeding and encouraging weeds competition with native pasture.

I believe you could use this at flushing time with clean water and get similar results in decreased levels of nutrients
