Curing Question

Yeah I get that, but the "air" that comes out of any dehumidifier feels cooler than the air around it, not heated unless you have a room with absolute zero humidity.

maybe cause it's coming out at speed it feels cooler but that's part of the way a stand alone domestic dehu works

it uses the heat to help with dehu'ing , as natural temp increases humidity decreases & V a V until you get to

zero =100% humidity (as you move below zero humidity decreases & air becomes dryer)

Ahh ok i thought they works the same, maybe i should have invested in a air con

yeah 2 birds 1 stone

cooling on a split will dehumidify at the same time

& a split set to dehumidify will cool & dehu the room

however the natural temp humidity connection comes into play

as temp drops in the room humidity increases

sometimes a stand alone is better option for dehu than the dehu in a split

like indoor night temps in winter , a stand alone is prob better cos you get

a lill heat with the decease in moisture

lots of variables & lekky bill to consider

Thanks for the explanation, my little dehu only uses 490watts a split will probably use 1400-1800watts so i may have made a good choice

no worries , your rite but there are many times you could need to run both

the other day i was drying with the dehu on in the adjacent room ( split in same room) , as temps outside

increased so did the drying room temps , on with the split , as humidity dropped outside i killed the dehu

& left the split on in a dehu setting & used the door to the dry room as a sort of thermostat , the more the

door was open the cooler the room got , just trying to keep temps below 26 & humidity below 50% when

drying
