Indoor summer grow

Anyone got any advice on keeping the temps down during summer for say 2x600 or 4x600 would air con be needed if cool tubes are run

It's kind of obvious isn't it , ..if it's a really hot day

 

If you cool down the air going onto your grow space it will help with temps .

 

Sorta like 1 + 1 = 2

Can you modify your air intake to draw from a cooler spot within house/shed/etc?

 

For example, can you draw air from under the house? it can make a huge difference of up 5-10c (imo).

 

EDIT :

But yeah, I wouldn't bother until you sort out the Elephant in the room. That being, not having a cooltube/s setup directly drawing the heat out generated by the bulb/s to begin with (if that is the case).

without AC you will only get to 1-2 degrees below ambient anyway, no matter, so all you can do is good air flow and if possible turn your lights down a notch or two in the hottest part of the day. the bugger about the Aussie summer ! its hot damb hot

I ordered a intake fan that works like a evap cooler, it sits over its on 45L tank witch had a pump in it , just fill with water and ice to really chill the water so as the air gets pulled into the room its cooled and with the hot summer air being so dry dowm here its spose to life the relative humidity up a bit to, also brought some cool tubes, be interesting to see how it runs

You just gotta do what you can in this weather. Air flow and only run the lights when its coolest. Other than that AC is the only way.  

 

Yep you will still need AC even with cooltube.  They can help but not enough in this kind of weather.

i have a exhaust fan sucking air into my tents, while fans suck air out, and probly best to run the lights at night, and off during the day.(the hottest part)
