Cob Lights

Hi all

Im wondering if anyone has used the cob's..........ive been reading how there doing great things, & are set to take over the lighting world............it seems most people build there own, bit by bit

Does anybody know where you can get these lights , ready to go , in Australia,.......any input appreiated

I don't use them personally but the technology is improving, which is what many of us have been waiting for. So soon, hopefully the price will drop and they become an even more viable option. You can build your own if you know what you are doing. By this I mean LED's light up at between 1.7 to 2.1 volts depending on colour. If you can calculate the current required for your specific LED setup and obtain the correct transformers and resistors to regulate that current, then you could make your own...

There is a brand that sell kits to make your own Timbergrowlights is their name I'm sure there's another mob too ,

There's a company selling kits online and you can even pick up locally also. Melbourne, Vermont.

I say build your own. The kits are all pre drilled and no soldering at all. I've made a couple myself

Thx for the advise guys, but are they any better, cheaper torun , less heat all that sorta stuff
