Hmm... I'm thinking I might be able to replicate something by utilizing a good quality electric soldering iron. Just need to buy parts & adapters for me bong.

There is a DIY build on Reddit, the basics needed are PID, 25A SSR, a case to house everything, some plugs and socket, a heater coil with XLR plug from alibaba. I have considered it, as the over all price would be significantly less

Try a 12v car battery solder iron heats up to tip melting temp in ten seconds, replace tip with some titanium bodge tip from scrap or old nails. I got mine from dick smith 10 + years ago, orange n black thing bout $70. Many burns in my shirts n carpet compared to my new blowtorch n nail stem kit
