so i have a carbon filter duct in the tent then fan on the outside of my tent is this ok method or should i attach the fan to the filter ?

It is more efficient to have the fan attached to the filter its self.

 

At times we have to change things up a lil bit if tight for room so yes it can b done but not quite as efficient as having it attached to the filter.

 

That is how i have my setup at the moment, filter inside grow area, short piece of duct to out side of grow area attached to fan.

 

Try and keep the ducting between the filter and fan as short as possible...

With the filter in the room ,

 

And no leaks in the ducting to the fan

 

It should work ,
