Goodstuff512
I'm just wondering if marijuana oil can give you a tickly throat? I can see why smoking it would, but does that apply to the oil, too?
Adeloudsmoker
Depends on the oil and if you're ingesting or smoking it.
Goodstuff512
Depends on the oil and if you're ingesting or smoking it.I've been injesting it (RSO oil) and it's giving me a tickly throat. I don't know what strain it is. Has anyone experienced this from marijuana?
Adeloudsmoker
Has all the alcohol been evaporated out of it? That could be a reason as to why it's giving that feel.
Goodstuff512
I guess that's why I'm asking. I'm pretty sure I got rid of all the alcohol. I even put a lighter to the oil and tried to light it...nothing happened. My girlfriend didn't have any problems, but I'm when I use it I get a tickly throat. It has been mixed with coconut oil. (Both of us tried the mix, but I'm the only one who experienced the tickle.) I guess that's why I'm asking. I'm pretty sure I got rid of all the alcohol. Matanuska Thunder
by chance are you allergic/sensitive to any foods/plants?ticklly throat could be a allergic reaction. a plant grown near something you are allergic to, whilst theoretically it should not impact you, it could.there are studies that I've been reading re: cross reaction when foods are grown too close to highly-allergic plants, there can be a cross reaction in sensitive people (I'm one of those).Sooo if your plants were not grown by you, this could be a possibility(?). Goodstuff512
Hi Matsunaka. Thanks for your help. That's what I'm suspecting...that I'm allergic. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same reaction? Marijuana has never gone down well with me...smoked or ingested. I just end up feeling sick. Matanuska Thunder
it wont be the cannabis that you are allergic to, rather the plants the your cannabis was grown near (is what you are allergic to).there are no reported cases of cannabis allergies in humans. you could try an alternate way of ingesting, like putting the oil in a capsule and swallow that- it would bypass your throat so the tickle should stopand may not be a bad idea to take antihistamine whilst using your oil too (because of your possible sensitivity). Goodstuff512
Hi Matanuska. I've done a web search and there are plenty of articles that talk about marijuana allergies. I'll try some of your suggestions. Cheers.
medicinalmum
My mum and I both use cann oil thc and CBDs and we both get an irritated throat for a minute but it's just in a coconut carrier oil and it has happened with all the different oils we tried so I don't think it's an allergy
