SEVEN men will face court today over alleged drug supply offences following a police raid at Mount Burrell and Lennox Head where cannabis with a street value of more than $1 million was seized.

At about 4.45pm yesterday, police from Richmond Local Area Command executed a search warrant on a property at Mount Burrell, about 10km from Nimbin.

Seven men, aged between 28 and 55, were arrested at the property on Kyogle Rd.

On searching the property, investigators located 50 cannabis plants in a hydroponic set-up and about 100kg of cannabis leaf, along with cash and other drug paraphernalia.

A second search warrant was also executed at a home at Lennox Head last night, where police allegedly located a further 31 bags of dried cannabis, cannabis resin and cash.

The cannabis seized has an estimated potential street value of $1 million.

The drugs and other items were secured and will undergo forensic examinations.

The seven men were taken to Lismore Police Station where they were charged with enhanced indoor cultivation of a prohibited plant for commercial purpose, and supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity).

One of the seven men, a 52-year-old man, will also face additional charges regarding the search warrant at Lennox Head.

All were refused bail to appear before Lismore Local Court today.
