Im Starting a hydro setup

g'day all

 

im pretty new to all this and ive been reading this site all day and im really happy i found it. Anyway all im after is what i would need to get 4 3-4 sticks a day out of something and how i would go about doing it. (gawd i hope that makes sense )

 

if someone could just post a materieal list of what i need like box diemensions and fans or watever ya need and how much it would cost i could put it all together

(I make sub-woofer boxes for a living so it should be fairly easy for me)

 

Also im kind of limited for space because i live in a granny-flat, all i reallly have is a double sliding door wardrobe. but a smaller sidez setup would be better...

i was just talking to one of my friends and he said its not possible to get 4 sticks a day from it. i have no idea how it grows or when but i was led to believe that once it starts budding in a hydro it dosent stop? i dunno

How big is the wardrobe?

 

Forgive my math but isn't 4 grams/day about 8 ounces/2 months? If you use the sea of green method, i think it's 4 clones/foot, 3 feet/metre, that's 12 clones. You would need each clone to produce about 2/3 of an ounce to keep up.

 

That's all rough, it would be hard to keep up to that amount too but whichever way you look at it, it's cheaper to grow your own, so don't let your friend stop you.

hey buddy welcome to the site ...

 

The first step of growing would be to select the suitable lighting that will fit your growbox ( so you need ventilation (fans) that will suck out the hot air that the light produces ) then fans, as mentioned.

 

- Heavy Duty Timer

- Truncheon ( the truncheon measures the strength of your nutrient mixture )

- Liquid or Electrical pH tester

 

After these two steps you choose what kind of hydro system to use ... in hydroponics there are diffrent styles of growing ( if you didnt already know ) there are Nutrient Film Technique ( NFT ) tables, Bubbler buckets, Aeroponics, etc etc etc.

 

It all comes down to either a FLOOD & DRAIN or RE-CIRCULATING system.

 

when you'v selected all that you can start building your growbox.
