Choosing seed and soil, Coastal QLD.

Recommended Posts

Greatings,

Hope all has had lovely holidays.

SWIM's obviously new to the world of cultivating cannabis and planning to do both indoor and outdoor grows this coming year, using an indoor mother to clone and keep planting and playing until he figures it out.

If one were to consider planting outdoor on the gold coast, QLD, what information, calculations and measuring devices is at ones disposal when choosing a site and testing the soil? What is one looking for? And subsequently, how does one then go on to choose a strain to match the soil conditions?

Many thanks!

Thanks for the advice everybody.

I'm currently scanning my area via google maps for viable spots,

Once I find a general area I'm comfortable with, considering security, accessibility, location in relation to water ect. Is there a certain soil value that I should be chasing once I start testing? Or can I generally pick any ol' spot and provided I prep it before planting, usually not a problem? I'm quite new to this, I'd just like to operate on the maximum information possible.

Indoor growing shouldn't be a problem, I'll just follow a carbon copy grow plan and keep a log and ask as I go whilst querying the community should I run into problems.

The seed I'm having my first attempts with is big bomb auto, and should be in my hands within a week.

Thanks!
