Southern Star Seed Strains , Bud Porn

Recommended Posts

Thanks Guys, that Old Toby is such a good smoke at 3 month cure. I can feel my pulse all over my body with a disconnected felling between head and body. Very relaxing and helps me sleep like a baby.

@ Tang. Yes I am into the hash production, but my quality is poor. I think my material is to dry and brittle so my bubble has to much veg. matter in it, but it still hammers me nice.

@ Itchy lol mate. My "boss" asked if he can use the Anna Lee photo on his website, maybe that why Gumby thinks I've infiltrated Oz Stoners on SSS secret business. Show me a grower that sends a photo to a breeder that is not happy that they think it good enough to be use to promote there own strain?

Seriously,Mr S has a large established worldwide business, he doesn't need OZ Stoners and as a breeder he told me once "its better to stick to breeding and stay away from forum bullshit"

Also Itchy, that GG of yours looks fantastic. You know mine got fungus and the harvest I did get was immature by about 2-3 weeks and never grew near potential. So seeing yours is making my mouth drool. The GG I have is strong but not deadly as it should be and the high is not as relaxing as I'm looking for.....so I have to try again in spring.

@ Cheers Ozzy, yes its a bumper all right, I wanted to have enough of what ever strain worked for me medically to last 2 years, in case I get a wipe out season, I grew 15 strains and only 4 are good for me. Old Toby, Wizz Fizz, GG Allin, Ragnar Lodbrock and I think Barney's Pineapple Chunk will be good after a long cure. Sativa's don't help me for pain.

Yep Mr S said similar to me via email & there's a couple of my pics or at least one on his site as well

Yes twas a shame with your GG & you should def go again just so ya know the real GG if for nothing else

Something that might be of benefit for you growing organically , EM-1 http://www.eco-organics.com.au/household-systems.htm slide down the page to see Eco Culture

you can use strait out of the bottle as is or extend it to over 20lts in volume so the $27.90 becomes pretty cheap at over 20lts , you can also make this your self pretty cheaply as well

you can use as a foliar spray & soil drench in the whole garden in & out as part of an IPM integrated pest management or just for general garden health ,

spray in veg regular to put as many beneficials on the plant as poss to fight the non-beneficials , you need to cover at least 80% of the plant with a foliar spray

the other thing i would add to that for the same reason is 420 worm booster http://www.hydro4u.com.au/products/additives/worm-booster/420-worm-booster-1lt

another inoculant of beneficials

is not the be all & end all of probs but the healthier the plant the more chance it might be able to fight for itself cos they'll know they have a prob way before we do

Cheers Husky

Couple of clones for ya..

Chong Lee (originally from my F2 seed)post-15455-0-38906900-1436794058_thumb.jpgpost-15455-0-90873400-1436794174_thumb.jpgpost-15455-0-91266800-1436794304_thumb.jpg post-15455-0-38737400-1436793924_thumb.jpg

GG Allin  - post-15455-0-43177400-1436794668_thumb.jpgpost-15455-0-62082100-1436794794_thumb.jpgpost-15455-0-09579700-1436794894_thumb.jpg

The GG Allin is a pretty plant with all the purples and deep greens, has a beautiful smell and tons of resin, but the buds have a sort of weird spiky structure and anything other than the top heads are fluffy and sparse and not really worth two knobs of goat shit other than hash making or rolling joints, being coated in trichromes as they are. Not a great yielder and a little tricky to grow in my situation I won't be running it again.

If someone where to ask me " which strain to buy for growing awesome weed in small spaces" I would recommend the Chong Lee all day. Short, stocky with thick stems that are able to support the fat dense colas without staking if kept short, this is a beastly Indica. Grows rock hard lime green nugs all the way down the stem covered in insanely greasy resin. STRONG. Fuckin lookout if you are anyone other than a seasoned cheecher. Its a full blooded indica so it vegs rather slow especially from seed you need patience and she likes root space, wont do much in anything under an 8L pot. Best grown from clone.

Both grown from clone in pure coco in cheapo 9litre buckets. 2 weeks veg 8 weeks flower, done.

I'll balance out the rep. for you T.WilyRR.

The Chong looks very nice Rosey.  Id like to try that girl. Its probably going to get a run outdoor here this season coming. Depends on SSS new strain additions.

Pity your GG didn't float your boat. You grew it indoors?

Cheers guys... the GG is still a good strain and definitely worth a try. I got 5 females out of five seeds. It grows nice buds with cool colours. When I bought these seeds I was looking for a good indica for indoor growing and the Chong Lee absolutely fits the bill. It was a hard decision not to run the GG again cos I'm sure I could get better results with a bit more 'lollypopping' of the lower branches in early flowering.... But I have very little space and when you look at the dried product and the bang for buck the Chong wins hands down, it is absolutely A grade with very little wastage.

The small pheno GG Smells of Lemony lavender, kind of like washing powder. Very interesting. The Chong is more classic weed pungent with a wierd hint of Ginger and garlic, funks up a room through three layers of packaging.

Grown in a 1mx1m tent under 1 600w. Pure coco, canna coco nutrients with budlink silicon additive and the occasional dose of seaweed powder.

Funny how we are all so diff ( Grower / environment ) when it comes to growing

Cos that is the exact same prob i have with GG , has to stay in sealed glass or

the whole house smells of it , & has a strange incense kinda smell when smoked

that hangs around a while , never had the pleasure of growing chong lee though

Yeah the GG stinks it up too don't worry about that. The GG is actually the perfect plant for making bubble hash, it has tons of visible resin leading me to think that the resin glands are quite large and the looser bud structure helps with being able to knock those heads off the plant material. I've got some Texas Guinan seeds to try try next that I'm itching to pop. Might have to wait till spring because I much prefer to grow from seed outdoors.
