Grove
Hello guys, Been checking out this site for a while now..and I thought it time I join the ranks. So Bonza Seeds delivered my goods yesterday, super impressed btw. With the package being concealed ( I almost thought I'd been sent the wrong stuff) anyway, I'm starting my first grow and I'm really excited. To grow something from start to finish whist knowing that someone isn't adding ridiculous chemicals to boost their profit is really what it's about for me. 2 X's Hollands hope (auto)1 x supersonic crystal storm (auto) Both of the above I am planting now. The ones below are seeds I have, but I'm not planting them until I get more experience because I honestly don't know what the strains are capable of. So I decided to start with Auto seeds. Unknown seed sent by Bonza seeds - Mango....?CH9L jack - X's 5CH9L vintage X's 2wollie F1 I now have my seeds and I am currently germinating them (glass water method) I bought some standard potting mix and paper/cardboard plant pots. I will be growing outdoors and keeping this as natural as possible. Any and all advice on potting set-ups, ratios of mixes, nutrients (only natural nutrients, non of those animal based products like bonemeal) hints and tips, trade secrets would be really appreciated. Once I'm off the ground I will start taking photos and uploading them here. I'm currently growing in Melbourne....so the weather can get hectic. Thanks guys, appreciate the time taken to reads this and it's good to be onboard. I. Already find if this community. louise
Welcome to the forum Grove... Ummm, bone meal is most definitely an 'animal product'.. it's made from slaughterhouse wastes, mainly ground up bones from sheep and cattle. Ford Fairlane
Welcome and good luck with your grow. A really simple way to do it, is get a bag of canna terra, a peat based medium, some canna vega for veg and canna flores, for flower. Feed them as per instructions on the website, at a pH between 5.8-6.2, and that is it.
Grove
Thanks guys. Sorry Louise, I didn't word that part we'll the first time. I should have just said no animal based products will be used. Thank you Hey Ford, thanks for the tips mate. Do you recommended using the nutrients from the beginning? Has anyone had experience growing the ones I'm doing? I pave never been smoked them before so I'm exceptionally curios.

Has anyone had experience growing the ones I'm doing? I pave never been smoked them before so I'm exceptionally curios. I'm curious as to why you will be using no animal based products. Does this also include things such as worm castings and animal manures? Naycha
Ford Fairlane
Thanks guys. Hey Ford, thanks for the tips mate. Do you recommended using the nutrients from the beginningYes I do, particularly the autos
wannagrowbuds
Also don't be disappointed with the size the autos get to outdoors. They will probably be lucky to get to a foot tall with one ounce yield with good sunlight 8 hours a day.
Grove
Thanks for the tips again ford. Have you had any decent yields from the autos? Concentrating - I'm not using any product that comes from a dead animal. I will be using manures and worm castings (byproducts) etc down the road, but things like bone meal goes against my principles. Thanks for the heads up Flowering. You have any good tips or advice? I would love to know what you have grown.
wannagrowbuds
I have just started my first grow, Sweet Seeds autos outdoors in organic soiless mix. I have been reading pretty much everything there is to read on organics and autos for the last six months. The photos you see on the breeders websites are grown under ideal condition with high intensity lighting for 18 hours a day. So even with ideal conditions with only half that amount of sunlight you can only expect half what they get. I have three strains going and as I only smoke once or twice a week, half an ounce of each will last me a long time.
Grove
Anyone have any experience with greenhouses? I've made a makeshift one and left in near a window for sunlight. I'm sure what ratio of light and water I should be using though. Figured a small greenhouse was a good idea to prompt growth. His your first grow going Buds? His long have you been at it for?
