I went down to local hydro shop, & they too said same thing re those rachet thingys.... Cool...glad I found them...AND heaps cheaper than in the shop also(as is prob most everything else-buta good local hydro place -and the guys wealth of knowledge is worth buying a few things from him @ v least ,  ...and sadly, budget atm, is a bit tight...

Out of intrest how much lighting WOULD one need for a 2 x 2 x 2m?  SO sorry I forget where all the calculators are here on site , etc...

Thats crap Pegz, you need to study ya light requiremnets for areas.

 

That space would need a 1000wer or 2 x 600wers............ even one 600wer won't do 2m x 2m area. I'd go the single 1000wer, or reduce ya tent/area size to 1.2m x 1..2m and go one 600w light.

I thought he meant 2ft by 2ft by 2m.... go back to page 1 and the OP was originally looking at a $200 starter set up which included a small tent (0.9m x0.5m x1.6m.) Now apparently he's decided to upgrade to a 2m x2m x2m space, which is yeah.... big upgrade from page 1.

That would still make more sense than starting 3 seeds under a 600W HPS.
