phillips 315w LEC with D-Papillon reflector

Often in the case of china Cheap does equate to poor quality. cheap usually means the cheapest materials were used in construction which is why we see products coming from china  that emit toxic fumes when they get to operating temperatures or items that fail after short periods of time. im not saying that this is the case. sometimes its the exact same item rebadged and sold cheaper. but there is certainly reason to be careful and really know what your ordering before you get it. personally i hope we do find a cheap supply of these ballasts that turns out to be reliable. that would be awesome.

Cheap means they pay their workers sweet FA. Can also mean the same in materials. Who knows? My son will be getting a setup.

Whatever spins your wheels Pegz. Obviously UL,CUL,CE,TUV certifications mean nothing to you, they just give them away to anyone that asks.

Why is that nonsense Pegz ?

In general cheaper parts = higher rate of failure, especially when talking about things that are subjected to stress. If the fan fails on an exceptionally hot day what happens?

But there's no point going on about this, it's just cluttering up forgetiwashere's thread with argumentative crap.

Nothing, these ballasts have no fans.

This is not arguementative, so far I have offered facts, you have offered opinion. Suggesting that price is linked to fire about these products, of which there is no evidence to my knowledge that supports your position.

Give me some facts to support your position and I will gladly look at them, because this directly involves my son.

If I knew something about these particular units blowing up, failing, being shit, etc, I'd be warning you all which isn't what I'm doing.

Don't let my concerns stop you.
