Help! Blended butter and water, now won't separate.

No worries Monkey, a suggestion for next time... washing the butter improves the taste mightily... my butter thread in the cooking forum outlines the method. Washing takes it from something that needs to be drowned in sugar and chocolate or coffee to something you can spread on toast and eat it without any fear of gagging.

 

Wonderful idea, Louise. Thanks for the set of instructions. I've never heard of that 'washing' process before. So, it's basically re-melting the butter into warm water, and then allowing it to set in the fridge again? I guess I can see how this would remove a lot of gunk. I'll definitely give that a go in my next batch. I really dislike the taste of the butters I've made recently.  That inky chlorophyll taste - blechh!

5g of leafy bud to that amount of butter? Maybe rethink your strategy..... I wouldnt cook a batch of butter with anything under a quarter pd of material. Not suggesting you shouldnt bother though! 5g of leafy material will not require extensive heating to extract the cannabinoids. The experts around here should of mentioned this :) No loss, 5g of leafy bud? Try again.
