Harvest Help Please

G'day stoners,

 

I'm after a bit of help from the more experienced growers in here regarding when I should be pulling my plant.

She's Pure Kush, at day 55 from switching to 12/12, it has a recommended flowering time of 9 weeks going by the website I purchased the seed from.

I'd say 70% of pistils are orange, I don't really know how to tell if the calaxys are swollen and as for the trichomes, I bought a loupe magnified glass from office works today, from what I can tell all trichomes are still clear but I'm not sure the magnifying glass is strong enough to make a proper judgment.

Physically the buds look a little light/not compact/leafy at the tops of the main cola's, and almost all the pistils here are still white (turning orange an inch or two below the tip of the colas).

Under the mag, trichs when clear will be extremely clear. Its quite obvious when they turn milky. Then just need to look for some amber and go by your high preference.  Another month @ least, imo

Yeah from the pics maybe another month. If you cant wait just cut a small bit off from a lower branch. Still wont be good till it's cured for a month.

Does 12 weeks seem like a really long time for flower? I ask because maybe re-veging due to light penetration is slowing down the process? My tent is in a room that is fairly dark, but at certain times of the day some sunlight might be getting through. I know this poses a risk to hermies, but I've read in other threads that unless it's a lot of light for long periods of time the worst that should happen is a bit of re-veging.

I recon it looks pretty nice and healthy.

 

I don't rely too much on the breeders time,

just use your magnifier and look for your ideal trichome color.

Making sure to leave enough time to flush your plant properly.

Also remember flower times really start from when the plants start flowering, not when you flip them to 12/12. I usually run about 11-12 weeks on most strains its not a long time compared to some full on sativa strains.

Hang tight and just wait it out mate.
