Home made thrip control.

This morning I threw in a bowl:

black pepper , 2 kinds of hot sauce, curry powder and some biodegradable dishwashing liquid.

 

I poured boiling water over the ingredients whisked for a while, let cool and filtered through a tea towel , I then poured the concoction into a spray bottle and added a little extra water then I sprayed all the plants in the hps closet tops and bottoms of leaves and all the thrips I could see the detergent worked well helping it stick to the leaves a little, so far 0% visible damage to plants and I havnt seen a thrip on them since the thrips I directly sprayed are dead. Ill let ya's know how it goes plant wise.

I really think this has nailed em but we'll see what happens

I used a similar concoction outside when I had an influx of big arsed grasshoppers who decided my pony tail palm and spiders plants were lunch.

 

Worked a treat!

Plants didn't seem the slightest bit phased either.

You have to remember this was on outdoor legals, but honestly I can't see canna having any issue with it. It's still a plant.
