A Single female plant gave me a seed?

Hi guys, last year on my mazar grow I got 8 ounces of beautiful bud. Well in that bud I found one seed! it looks viable. Just wondering will this be female? because it came off a female?

As far as i know,  if the female plant came from regular seed stock.. it will have a 50/50 chance of being female.. the seed is a individual which will display traits from both mother and father.  

 

do you know what could have pollenated the plant..?? or it could be a self pollenated hermie??

Hi sir, nope there was no other males around at all. Just the single seed was found in one of the buds. Cheers

Ive seen this happening in female cuttings being flowered. If this was a self pollinating hermie somehow should'nt there have been seeds in most if not all the buds? Or is this not the case? I'd be interested in learning more about this

I remember reading that when that happens it is the plant making sure it will reproduce itself (so to speak) and those seeds or seed will be feminised. I am pretty sure I read it in the Growers Bible. As opposed to a hermi that produces seeds all over the plant. Or the book by the guy (can't remember his name fuckit) who grows the expensive seed producing plants. Daniwherethefuckismybook? Mandala that's him!

Thanks Vinno. You to mate. Yes I got about ten off a Pure Power Plant and gave all but two away. Those two are now in soil, they are a couple of years old so hope they crack ok.
