It's time we move forwards Australia. We know how beneficial this plant can be to our health, heart and happiness. It has the power to heal us all and to create a thriving economy. Australia needs to legalise cannabis for industrial, medicinal and recreational use. Free the herb.

Prohibition clearly does not work. It didn't work with Alcohol and it will never work for anything.

In fact, usage rates for all drugs have climbed gradually over the years even with the stiff penalties in place (and we're talking multi billion dollars) which demonstrates that the war on drugs is clearly not working and is wasting valuable tax dollars. Dollars that are better spent elsewhere (on public health for instance).

AUSTRALIA, THE TIME HAS COME TO TAKE A STAND!

STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN AND SUPPORT THE AUSTRALIAN HEMP PARTY AND HELP PUT AN END TO THE PROHIBITION.

Together we can make a difference!

Great thread to start Organic Panic... One of the MODS threw up a link a little while ago to an article about Big Marijuana plans for the states (it was a good read, maybe someone could put the link on here)... My opinion, for what its worth is, without the right legislative approach here in Oz we will see OS companies here with OS workers on 457 visas supplying outlets owned by doctors and pharmasists (the new age commercial dealers) ... The right and freedom to grow and use cannabis by Oz citizens is what should be advocated for, before pushing an industry objective, aspecially with the current corporate law and work visa precedent our lucky country or population has inherited.

Leads one to question which is the lesser of two evils. legalisation or capitalisation... I know, if I were given a choice, I would still want to grow-my-own. Even though, a legitimate back-up source from a local dispencary would be great for the dry times... Maybe we will get lucky and the Gov will provide the peoples with both options, because at the end of the day, it aint all about the money. Is it???
