Water Heater

Hi Guys,

 

I've noticed that not many people have water heaters in their reservoirs, should I bother using one? I'm in Vic and its starting to get cold now, down to 10 degrees at night and getting colder.

Yes. Reserviour water should be kept near the 21 degree mark, otherwise nutrient and other problems can arise.

i find it the other way around but im over in WA

i find i dont need a heater so much cause it wont go any Lower than22 degrees which is optimum.

But i find it somtimes gets a bit hot like maybe 30 sometimes.

Whn that happens i just add some ice or a 2 litre bottle filled with frozen water and i let it sit in the rs to cool things down.

Made changes sinch then and have seprated my resevoirs as far as i can go (which isnt far enough to call it a remote rs but its better)

 

I cover my res in either insulation for a bit of xtra tmp control or with the whit shit that comes out of tha air cond ducting to insulate the sound a bit.

Seems to work

Roots grow better when theyre at room temperature and an aquarium heater costs about $20. Go for it.
