First grow, what to buy?

Recommended Posts

So I am about to start my first grow, seedlings ready to germinate...

What should I buy in Bunnings, besides soil? I have no clue what I am doing, so please help me out.

I heard something about bone meal being good to add to soil?

also someone on the forums recommended that I actually do not start with soil, as it is harder to manage compared to Coco, what are peoples experiences here?

don't even step foot in bunnings mate..  go to your local hydro shop and buy some coco and perlite or some canna terra, ask the guys at the shop for a one part nutrient to suit..    They will tell you to buy something to test pH with, they are right..  you need to get the pH right or you will be dissapointed, you will also need some phosphoric acid or similar to bring the pH down to the correct level, so you are going to need to get some of that, it's pretty cheap..   check out cannaversity, check out diaries, if you have the coin buy a good book on the subject..

are you growing inside or outside...  if inside you might want to look at clay balls or perlite as a medium...  so many variables!!  good luck
