lol... lol they are Auto's... lol you have a lot longer than Five(5) weeks lol

"V"

I think you will find that what Vinno meant was that day length is irrelevant to an auto flowering plant. So it doesn't matter if we are apporaching the summer solstice or the winter solstice, 'auto flowering' plants are 'day neutral'... ie flowering is not triggered by changing daylength but occurs when the plant reaches a particular level of maturity.

Autoflowering initiates (generally) when the plant reaches between 5 and 10 nodes tall.

to all thanks for all the reply's ,

i wasn't indicating that i wanted them to go on flower at the solstice i was was indicating the day length shortens and when i was in Scotland that was very important as it changed very quickly. i know now that the plants will do what they want and i will have no control. Is there any long vegging strains crossed with the ruderalis, so you could get bigger plants before flowering?

Ahh Scotland, I see where you are coming from... at extreme latitudes ('extreme' in terms of growing cannabis outdoors, say 50' - 60' N Lat) the solstice is important, even for auto growers. The day length changes quickly and the bad weather sets in all too soon. Mainland Australia is a different kettle of fish, the days change relatively slowly and there are months and months of good growing weather after the solstice. If you wanted to plant again now, I expect you could get another couple of crops done before the end of autumn.

White label Seeds recently released 3 new auto fem hybrids...

Skunk Automatic, begins flowering in around 6 weeks or 5 to 7 nodes tall, indoor flowering time 40 - 55 days.

Super Skunk Automatic, as above, indoor flowering time 45 - 55 days.

White Haze Automatic, begins flowering between 6 - 8 weeks or 6th to 9th pair of five-bladed leaves, indoor flowering time 45 - 65 days.

I saw a few grow logs with the new skunks during the Northern season that has just ended... Haven't grown them myself yet or seen anyone tackle the haze yet, but for autos, they seem to get to a reasonable size... not the sort of thing you can grow in juice bottle. Of course, growing them directly into the ground does maximize the potential yeild.

There is also Snow Ryder, by the same breeders, I have had it get to 1.3m in a 40litre pot of coco. As a smoke, the skunks are probably the better buy, but thought I'd mention it.

thanks for all the feed back, i will look into those new auto strains you mentioned. i have 2 plants in a 50ltr pot, according to my mates i can expect the northern to get to about 1.2 mtrs over here (very hopeful) i will keep everyone up to speed on the grow. thank god the hot spell is over now.

Man I'm growing outdoors and my plants get watered once a week and fed once a week they don't need watering too often, the trick is to water In big volumes but less often

Good luck

hi , my plants are in a large pot in full sun which drys them out quite quickly, i don't over water them ,but enough so they don't wilt. the feed i am giving them is Medione 4-3-3 and i have been giving it weaker than the prescribed weekly dose, the pH of the run through is fine yet, if it changes i will cut the feed down and give more water. they seem to do doing well so far, any advice is well recieved, so thanks, what are you feeding them and what strains/yield do you get?

all the best Munchy
