My Outdoor garden 2012

Recommended Posts

My garden this year is mostly from seed PD/GF and a med woman. the med woman been my mother plant for 3 years now and I'm letting her do her thing. for the PD/GF, we planted 12 beans and all spouted. http://www.oregongreenfree.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif 7 were girls. We kept the 5 seedlings we liked the best. I numbered them 1 threw 5. After we harvest and try out the PD/GF meds, we'll be naming this strain. we are going for a strain meant for the outdoors. we want some stretching but not too much and it must finish quick. took 1 clone of each and will only be keep one after we pick the winner.

This last spring, money was very very tight as my bf cat, Moose,(black and white cat). Moose went to the vet twice within 2 months, one of those visits was a 4 day stay. Then the month after, my 10 year old loyal dog tore his back knee and needed surgery.... The last pic right after surgery http://www.oregongreenfree.net/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif needless to say my outdoor grow fund was gone.

Last fall, I had my son dug a hole since he was in trouble and filled it with some of the FFOF soil from last summer grow, this is where PD/GF #2 was planted (pic 4 &5). The rest of the plants were put in 45gal smart pots with good old backyard dirt. All the nutes I used this year was from last years grow. Last summer, I was brewing tea for my plants. this is by far my cheapest grow ever,.... not including the new cover I just ordered.... but for soil and nutes, this year I might of spent 20$. I'll tie up the plants tomorrow as they are getting heavy. The med woman (pic 1) is the only plant in the group unhappy with the soil and is stunted. The chicken wire is protecting her from my hens that like the leave and not the buds. They run lose with my dog. pic 2 threw 11 are PD/GF 1 threw 5. This is the best growing season I've seen in 9 or 10 years. After this harvest, I'll have 3 more holes dug and amend the soil.

nice plants !, your neighbours must be allright , shit id be worried someone was going to jump me fence ,

Normally, yes I don't have any problems and it pretty much worry free. I live in a mostly cop neighborhood. I get a fly-by by the cop chopper once in a while. no big worries....until a 2 months ago, my renters neighbor got a rescue dog (boxer/pit) that is very dangerous. I put in a raised garden to barricade a section of the fence. its charges the fence and the other day broke a section. (3rd time breaking the fence, can't fix it this time) that section is in my dog's run and is locked up. I've had the cops walk threw my mj garden 3 times so far to look at the fence. I show them my paperwork, and the plants aren't an issue. the neighbor's dog has tried to attack myself, my bf, kids, my dog, and my hens countless times. this dog almost got the neighbor's (on the other side of them) their 3 yrs daughter during the first week they had it. even the animal control guy is afraid of the this dog. he wants to take it but so far its only gotten its head and 1 paw on my property (requires 4 or attacking, people,and/or chasing, attacking, killing livestock) I'm getting a new fence put up as soon as can and it'll be CMU brick. then I can chill out again. nothing like going in your own backyard with a baseball bat just in case. my dog has been enough to keep thieves away so far. I'm looking forward to growing indoor this winter while I get my outdoor grow space secured again. as far as the outdoor grow goes, still up and running until they are ready.

Nice plants =) , You wanna hire out ya hens as Trimmers....get plenty of work......hehe..... My dog had a crutiate ligament done too, TTLO, on both sides....expensive eh!.... Peace. Nibbler

lol my hens have been trimming the lower buds. they jump straight up to get a leaf sometimes the hens damage a small twig here or there and I get a sample. I tried a sample of PD/GF #5 its going to be great stuff. its still chemically needs a few more weeks of flushing and the trichome are mostly clear.

the pic is my 14 month old cat, Nibbler ... isn't she a cutie

some updated pics before harvest......

The 1st rain was slightly costly, I ordered a cover but it did't get here 3 days after. I'm really after the frame. out of the 6 plants, 2 were damaged; pd/gf #2 and #4. Plant 2 only lost 2 small branches (no biggie) and some heavy tops. Plant #4 was worse, lost 1/2 the plant. http://igotmycard.com/hp_smf/Smileys/akyhne/shocked.gif yeah it fared worse then I thought it would. oh well, I have the frame now and its doing great. the anchors for were weak, so I improvised and tied the frame to five 45 gal smartpots. it hasn't moved when windy :)

I just took down the med woman and pd/gf #5 and harvested some more tops over the weekend. most people harvested weeks ago. right now pd/gf 1-4 are still going. the longest outdoors season I made it to mid nov. that plant could of been out longer but I wasn't going to risk it with nothing but rain in the forecast. I've always just covered my plants and hope for the best. check them daily.

the Med woman was ready; the pd/gf#5 is down cause of mold issues. I haven't lost much but not going to push it with this 1 any longer. I figure this would be a problem for her outdoors. she has the most dense buds out of all the pd/gf. She would be great in a indoor setting though.

from the samples of #5 taken a few weeks ago (all the trichomes are cloudy); great grapefruit favor with a light hint of diesel. the diesel is more of an aftertaste. it worked great for my conditions. its very tempting to keep her, I'm looking still for the pheno for the outdoors....

enjoy the pics
