A big special thanks to the guys & girls at Dacca Studios & Sinister Productions who did an unreal job on this years Sydney Cannabis Cup, and no doubt next years will be even bigger... Also an extremely big thanks goes out for no unwanted blue collars

 

We will have our Sydney Cannabis Cup report up during the coming week and a private write up will be done for the 420Crew following that.

 

Just wanted to share the winner with you all before the the report goes up. The cup is 9 crt Gold, valued at $2000.

The Roll Up

Somewhere on the northern beaches the Sydney Cannabis Cup for 2002 was held early this month and attracted it's largest crowd yet, with around a 150 people through-out the day toking it up and covering Sydney with a sweet smokey haze.

 

We rolled in around 11:30am or so, and after a few tokes of a few of the entrants I spent the beginning of the day getting pictures of all the cups, entrant buds, hashish & general displays that had been set-up around the outside of the room, for all us baked stoners to check out & admire through-out the day.

For the judging we were directed over to a nice comfy lounged area where 15 wooden bowls were laid out each containing some buds of each entry.

 

All the buds & hashish were judged on the following:

and were rated from 1-5 & 1-10 for the stone.

 

In our judging circle the two overall winners were Skunk#1 & 13, however as you all know Rockbud was the overall winner displayed in the above post.

The hashish was a great finisher for the judging leaving everyone dazed & confused for the rest of the day... unfortunately only one of the 2 hashish entries were tried by most of the judges due to the poor appearance of the second. I ate a bit of the poorly presented hashish but really couldn't say if it was any good, however after a half hour or so everything seemed a little heavier for a while

The biggest bud went to WSS (yet to confirm) for an unknown strain weighing in at 38 grams.

The speed joint rolling competition was just that & it was over as quick as it began... however was quickly followed by the most inventive joint.
