Ventilation fan on timer or thermostat?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, iv just got a tent (1m x .5m x 1.6m) and a 150mm in line fan was wondering if i should is get a thermostat or set it on a timer. I'm only doing 2 plants in there and was wonder whats more important, temp or regular air flow? will a thermostat provide enough air flow? Iv never had to worry about either before so im a bit unsure of what to do.

Both are a must good air flow and keeping heat with in the best range.

With air flow i would have the fan running wile lights are on and temps if they are sitting between 24-30c you shouldent have any heat probs.

If heat is a prob you may need to add another fan to push air into the grow area so the air exchange is faster removing the warm air and keeping temps in rite range.

IMO a thermostat is not needed, for me there is never enough airflow...

I run extraction and circulation fans 24/7. The only fan that gets turned off services the cool tube... so when the light aint on it aint on. It can get a bit chilly in the winter, but then rather than turn off the extraction, I re route the ducting from one or both fans to heat the room outside the tent. Edited by louise
