feminizing with Colloidal silver

Mornin all, I am very interested in being able to produce feminized seeds using Colloidal Silver, it seems to be a fairly basic process and there seems to be enough info around the www to show that it works pretty well..

Does anyone here have any personal experiance with this method that can give me any tips?

I have ordered some .9999% silver and other than that the only other bits needed are a 9 volt battery and distilled water, spray the mix onto a known female plant and wait for the pollen sacks to appear then pollinate the female and wait for some seeds to appear..

Any hints? seems to easy..

OK... Looks like i better document my attempt at this and see if i can get some sort of tutorial happening, i have a suitable plant that should be showing signs of sexuality in the next week or so, so if you are at all interested in this... Watch this space..

The silver wire should be arriving in the next couple of days, i'm sure i have an old phone charger that i can use for the power supply, i'll get some distilled water from woolies and see what happens..

I really wanna see this too so keep us updated. From wat I've read about colloidal method is that u gotta start spraying them as soon as u flip them to 12/12. So how can u know the sex if u start doing it at 12/12(maybe use clone). By doing this it makes the female produce male pollen sacks that are filled with the female genes. So when u seed ur plant ur pollinating the female bud with female pollen. I couldnt understand either how u know it will be female pollen as plant coulda just been a male from start. Either way still wanna see ur attempt.

Thanks guys, good to see some interest in this, I might have left it a bit late with this grow as i changed to 12/12, 6 days ago and i am still waiting for the silver to arrive, i couldn't have done it sooner as i am growing from bag seed and can only presume that i will be needing to pull some males out, none of them are showing signs of their sexuality as yet and obviously i need to be sure that i am working with a known female. But the silver should arrive in the next couple of days and they should be showing sex also in the next few days so i will still try and do it, could still get some pollen hopefully, if not i will have to clone the best plant and try from there but i will keep you updated and get some pics done of the process for sure..

Yer I'd go with the cloning route just so u know u have a definate female and so u can start from the beginning of ur 12/12 cycle. U could even take some clones now and make sure u number them so u know wat plants they came from then when u get the colloidal switch the clone u know is female then start the process. U may be able to collect the pollen and then pollinate ur female all in the one grow. Depends on when u are ment to pollinate ur females. I do not know this, maybe someone else can help on that. I mean like how far along can a female go before u wont get anyseeds from pollinating if u can do it throughtout the entire grow well then u should be right then just pollinate at least a couple weeks before u harvest. This will also depend on how long it'll take for the female pollen sacs to mature as they may take too long.

Hey Mate, How're you doin? Great to see you are interested in this also, good idea of yours to take clones from all of them and turf the males when possible but i won't need to do that now as in the last couple of days the males have shown their sex and i have turfed them today, 6 out of nine of the bums were males .. oh well, least i know what i've got now, one of the 3 females is better than the others so what i am thinking of doing is cloning that one and starting over with a nice mother plant, i'll do that tomorrow and if i get good healthy clones then it shouldn't take long to get the tent full again.. The silver wire came in the post this morning, i got some demineralised water from woollies today and have found what should be a good power supply, it's 9 volts DC and 600 ma so from what i have read that should work well.. Yea i'm not sure either about how far along the female can go before she won't take the pollen, good thought that.. but if i start over with clones it should be fine..from what i have read it all seems to happen pretty quickly, i have also seen others spraying the silver on some bottom branches and using the pollen on the top branches, makes sense as the process does not turn the female to male, it keeps it's genetic sexuality but only produces male pollen sacs. All very interesting and i can't wait to get into it, i'm actually doing this for a good mate that grows outdoors every year, he's kind enough to drop a pound of real nice buds on my lap every May or so so it's the least i can do for him..

Yer am good thnx mate. Nice update looks like u have things under control. My cuz also wants me to make him female seeds he reckons he'll be able to get good prices for them also his an outdoorsmen and hates havin to pull half his crop every year. Cost too much to keep buying femenised so he just uses seeds from the area.

Gday Zuess, yeah mate Im also very interested to hear if this works. A 9V batter over night or get a DC charger 9v, split the chord and attach that to either end of the silver using allegator clips, I saw a tute on how to convert a microwave into a coloidal siver generator. I wouldnt attempt this, Id prolly turn myslef into a mutant or something ...
