No more bugs!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been reading a few posts about bugs and have a Q for anyone that has had bug issues.

Do you run fongi rid in you res?

Also do you spray nem oil on your veging plants??

Over the years I think I have had every bug you could hope to never have, spider, white fly even nematode. After the many battles with them all I found two things that have never failed me.

1: I run fongi rid ALL the time. One sache per 20l. I never not have it running through my system. I use to run ebb, ran it in that now I run dwc and I run it in there. I have put a few people on to it. And the common saying is " if I could snort the stuff I would, best thing ever". And it is how can you beat 4 sache from bunning for 8$.

2: Nem oil. 100% organic. I found the best way to deal with bugs is to prevent then rather then battle with them. Every time I clean me room to start again. After I have done the normal stuff, walls floors ect. I give my in and out takes or and places where bugs can get it with a good spray of nem. Why? Nem oil masks the smell of your plants and bugs hate it. Once my girls are in a do a religious rotation of spraying. Nem oils one week, then heathy earth( you can just use water) one week, then repeat Untill!!!! Buds start fourming. Say 2-3 week flowing. It keeps the bugs at bay, you can keep using nem all the way through however only on button of leaves. But by then your girls are so mature that if bugs did start they will not affect them as much as before.

fongarid is not an insecticide, it is a systemic fungicide used in particular for damping off and other 'fungal' diseases (phytophthora and pythium are actually not fungi, they are oomycetes).

personally i wouldn't touch that shit unless i had no other choice. systemic poisons are not what i want in my plants and in the buds i and others smoke.

i've used neem before but only use it sometimes.

YES it is systemic, and yes it is not An insecticide. However if your flushing right- 2 plus weeks before harvest then it is ok. As the chems you grow your plant will stay in your plant lingers then a systemic chem which only has a life spam of 2 weeks of feedings.

Nem is the insecticide, which is Not a systemic spray unlike most others that fight bugs ue spider mite spray, comfo, ect which are ALL systemic sprays.

The fongi is a root basic systemic that will, with the right flushing ie you flush your chems out. Not flush for 5 days as you will have your fongi AND your food in your buds in it. Keep your plant from ROOT bond gnats, fungi ect.

I understand what your saying with keeping your meds free from chems. However the only way to do that is not use chems in the first place. I e organic or veganic ways of growing.

Veganic is the way to go however I don't have the $$$ to spend on products to make my meds cost affordable.

Well the spring water that I use, has been tested.

Main issue is nematodes. Tried every thing to keep them out, growing mustard seeds in my medium, oxy plus, bio clean. Nothing really worked as good as fongi. The difference it has made in the total out come was amazing.

Yes the neem keeps the air born bugs at bay. Works real nice. But with water born. Have to say fongi is the best I have found. I tried boiling the water but that's just crazy when you are filling up 200 plus litters every week. If you have a more organic salution I am always will to try. But I think I have tried every thing from every shop.

Main issue is white fly and what we call cotton moth, or cabbage moth. Due to the fact I am 1200 ft above sea leave.

I'm at 1150ft and I don't have any bug problems indoors. Out in the garden yes, the white fly will decimate cucurbits in the spring and the cabbage moth does a decent job of destroying the brassicas in autumn... but having these pests indoors? Sounds like you need to insect proof you air intakes and exhaust.
