Monster plant issues

Recommended Posts

Indoor/Outdoor: Outdoor

Growing Medium: mother earth

Growing Style: freesytle

Watering/Feeding Frequency: rain

Nutrient Strength (PPM/EC): not sure - natural

PH Levels: Havn't checked

Temperature/Humidity Levels: outdoor nature

Air Flow/Fans etc.: outdoor nature

Lighting Type (CFL/HPS/MH etc.): sun

Total Wattage: lots of lumens

Growth Stage: flower

Plants Age: not sure

Cannabis Strain: Afghan or northern lights

I have had a search through and found possibilities but wanted to ask anyway.

Rather large (2m high x 4m wide) clone from either Afghan or Northern lights (seeds got mixed - but bought from breeder)

Trunk at base is huge - no real reason for this detail besides showing off.

Cloned plant was female as it was brought to flower then back under lights and other clones have been female.

Plant is now producing seeds all over - seems to be late in the flower.

Neighbouring plant is also producing seed - cloned from same mother.

Problem 1: What strain do you all think this is?

Problem 2: Cannot find male organs, but thinking that there may be a few hidden or a male plant in the vicinity.

Problem 3: Could a female mother produce a hermi clone?

Problem 4: Will the seeds produce hermi's if it is a hermi?

Any help appreciated..

1. Could be either...

2. Sometimes it can be very difficult to work out where the pollen is coming from... especially with plants that big. Is there a lot of seed eg. are the buds hard with a heavy load of seed or is it just the odd seed here and there?

3. 'Hermie' is not actually a third gender, all female plants have the capacity to produce pollen bearing flowers (it's a survival mechanism). The difference is how much encouragement (stress) they need to produce pollen. The clones will have the same likelihood as the mother of producing pollen.

4. If one of the females has produced pollen bearing flowers all the seeds will be female, some will have an increased chance of producing pollen themselves, but most will have the same chance as the pollen donor.

Thanks.. The buds are not hard and are quite "airy" with seed producing right through them..that makes for a whole lot of seed. The buds are not tight or compact.

I have a feeling that the mother must have been hermie from the get go as it was quite late in the flower stage to show seed.. the buds looked like any other until a couple of weeks ago.
