my plants have been gowing for about 4 months now and there have been a few problems but nothing major until today when i went to check on them they have started to droop and the lower leaves have turned yellow!

this was after a big storm we had about 5 days ago but we have had 3 days of good sun since,

Are the pots draining well enough to keep up with heavy rain? You could be getting lockout of some sort. Medium too wet, not good for roots. Or the heavy rain could have washed all the nutes away.

i don't think there is enough holes in the bottom of the pots!

the soil didn't seem to be to wet when i put my finger in the bottom holes?

i will try cut some bigger holes in the bottoms of the pots!

do they look like they are going to die or could the possibly recover?

cheers

Based on general gardening experience they look heat stressed &/or lacking in water. Dunno where u are but, have you put water crystals into the soil, if not do so. Add to the water. It is summer and if you miss a couple of days when its hot they will die but atm they look like they can be saved.

Why would you want to put bigger holes in the bottom of the pot if the soil at the bottom of the pot was dry? If they're dry at the bottom they're gonna be dryer at the top! Always check soil moistness from the top of the pot, couple of inches deep, if thats dry, so is the plant. But Mj hates "wet feet" so they must be drained well. Those big pots are well enuff drained imo but if they've settled well into ground they may not drain effectively so get a few small stones(pebbles even) & put them under the pot just enuff to give the run off room to run off. Few mm should do.

All of the above advice is good but careful you don't kill em with kindness. Three different strains they'll each have a different growing habit eg. long & lanky, short, bushy so check how each strain grows, they may not be lookin that bad afterall. In fact, I think they look ok myself, just a bit dry, but as an unsuccessful grower of mj what would I know lol lol I do know that I am over enthusiastic with mull & that probably contributes to my death rate!

I'd give them a good drink first then see what happens, they should lift their heads & pick off the dead/dying leaves then have another look in 2 or 3 days...bet they look brighter! If it's not a water issue the won't change much & you'll know it's something else! lol

Oh...have a look at the gardening factsheets on the BHG website, if it applies to your garden at home, it'll apply to Mj.

Good luck
